1. Who we are
This notice covers www.tradingsatoshis.com (the "website"). "TradingSatoshis", "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of the website. If you have any questions about your information, email support@tradingsatoshis.com.
2. The information we collect
- Account details: your username, email address and password. Your password is stored in a scrambled (hashed) form that we can't read.
- Profile details you choose to add: your TradingView username and Discord username.
- Purchases and subscriptions: which products you own, items in your cart, coupons you've used, your Alpha subscription's renewal date, and a reference to your customer record with our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- Course viewing: which parts of a course you've watched, how much of each part, and when.
- Your email preferences: whether you've chosen to receive promotional emails.
- Security information: sign-in activity such as failed sign-in attempts and temporary lock-outs, and a token that keeps you signed in on one device at a time.
- Technical information: when you last used the website, and the information your browser sends with every request (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit), which our servers record in their logs.
3. How we use it
- To create and run your account and give you access to the products you've bought.
- To take payments, manage subscriptions and deal with payment problems.
- To give you access to indicators on TradingView and to member areas on Discord, using the usernames you add to your profile.
- To see how far customers have progressed through each course, so we can support learners and improve our courses.
- To send you emails you need, such as password resets, payment and subscription notices.
- To send you promotional emails, only if you've opted in. You can turn them off at any time under "Edit your profile".
- To keep the website and your account secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and fix problems.
- To answer your questions when you contact us.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We only share what each service needs to do its job:
- Stripe, which processes payments and subscriptions. You enter your card details directly with Stripe.
- Vimeo, which hosts and plays our course videos.
- Google, whose reCAPTCHA checks sign-ins for automated attacks, and whose Google Fonts service supplies the website's fonts.
- CoinGecko, which supplies the cryptocurrency prices in the ticker at the top of the page. Your browser requests these prices directly from CoinGecko.
- TradingView and Discord, where we use your usernames to give you access to indicators and member areas.
- Amazon Web Services, which hosts the website and its database, and our email provider, which delivers our emails.
We may also share information if we are required to by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or the website.
5. Cookies and browser storage
- Sign-in cookie: keeps you signed in and protects your account and forms from misuse. The website can't work without it.
- Theme setting: your choice of light or dark theme is saved in your browser so it's remembered next time.
- Other services' cookies: Vimeo, Google reCAPTCHA and Stripe may set their own cookies when their players, checks or payment pages load. Our course player asks Vimeo not to track viewers.
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as you have an account with us. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll delete or anonymise your information, except for records we need to keep for accounting, tax or legal reasons, such as payment records. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
7. Keeping it safe
The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, passwords are stored hashed, and access to customer information is restricted to the website's administrator. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
8. Your choices
- You can view and update your email address, TradingView username, Discord username and email preferences in your profile at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@tradingsatoshis.com.
- You can unsubscribe from promotional emails under "Edit your profile".
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
